For those of us who have just had a jab, you still won’t be able to access your COVID-19 digital certificate. But you can still follow the steps below to access your vaccination history extract with a record of your first injection. For those who’ve already had their two jabs, here’s the walkthrough guide to get your COVID-19 digital certificate on your phone.

If you have Medicare.

If you have a Medicare card, you can access your COVID-19 Digital Certificate by logging into the Express Plus Medicare app or your online Medicare account through myGov. If you have the Express Plus Medicare app, just log in and under “Services” click on “Immunization History”. This will bring up your history of past immunizations and allow you to access your COVID-19 Digital Certificate. To access your Medicare account online through myGov, please follow the steps below.

1. Login or set up a myGov account.

Now there’s a good chance you already have a myGov account, that’s where you go to collect taxes, Centrelink, and check on that fun growing HELP debt. If you don’t have a myGov account, you can easily create one here.

If you’ve already done that, you can skip this step. Otherwise, take your Medicare card from your wallet and follow these steps to create a Medicare account online.

3. Log in to your Medicare account and click on “view immunization history”.

Simply log into your Medicare account and you will be taken to a home page with the option to view your past immunization history. click on the button “View immunization history” and then select your name.

4. Add your COVID-19 digital certificate to your Apple Wallet or save to phone to Google Pay.

From there, you will have the option to access your COVID-19 digital certificate and add it to your Apple Wallet or save it to phone to Google Pay.

If you don’t have Medicare.

If you don’t have Medicare, you can simply add your COVID-19 digital certificate to your phone using the Individual Health Identifiers service (IHI service).

1. Log in to myGov.

If you don’t have a myGov account, you can create one.

2. Select the Individual Health Identifiers service and click on “view immunization history”.

After selecting the Individual Health Identifiers service, you will be taken to a home page with the option to view your past immunization history. click on the button “View immunization history” and then select your name. From there, you will have the option to access your COVID-19 digital certificate and add it to your Apple Wallet or save to phone to Google Pay. Again, if you are on an Android device, you will need to use Google Chrome to set this up. But if you’re using an iOS device, you can use Safari or Google Chrome.

And if my vaccine is not showing up?

If you got the COVID-19 jab, but it didn’t show up up still, don’t worry. According to the Digital Health website, “it may take a few days for new vaccines to appear on your immunization history statement.” “If you have received one or both of the COVID-19 vaccines and it is not on your statement, check back in a few days.” From the news www.mamamia.com.au
