How to add a memory mix to a photo memory
When a memory is created within Photos, the app automatically chooses a song or visual to add to it. You can, however, change it at any time in the Memories section of your phone. To add / change a memory to memory mix, you need to first open the Photos app on your iPhone and select the ‘For you’ tab at the bottom. Within the ‘For you’ screen, select the memory you wish to edit in the ‘Memories’ section. You can choose a different memory on this screen by swiping left / right on ‘Memories’ or tapping on ‘View all’ option. when a memory loads up in full screen, tap the screen once for additional options to appear. From here, tap the memory mixes button (the one that resembles a musical note) in the lower left corner. You should now be able to swipe between different memory combinations by swiping left/right. When you reach the desired memory mix, tap the screen to apply it. The applied memory combination will now show up at the top of your memory. You can repeat these steps at any time to change or apply other mixes to your memory.

Yes. While Apple offers several different combinations of music to apply to a specific memory, you can choose to customize how the memory plays by choosing a soundtrack that you think best fits the memory. That way, you can create a custom memory combination to apply to a specific memory without having to go through dozens of memory combinations suggested to you. You can access new music options to set as memory music by tapping Music button inside the Memory Mixes screen.

Similar to How to choose your song for a memory, Apple also lets you select a bunch of memory visuals that you can apply directly to a memory without the need to swipe between different memory mixes. You can choose your preferred look from the 12 available options – Original, Film B&W, Film Noir, Glossy, Fade, Contrast, Warm Glow, Warm Fade, Warm Contrast, Cool Glow, Cool Fade and Cool Contrast. All of these options will be available when you access Filters. button inside the Memory Mixes screen.
