How to Use Google Takeout
Step 1: Go to the Google Takeout homepage and sign in to your Google account. Step 2: Before you back-up to create data, you must select the services on which you want to run the task. You can either select all services at once, or you can select services one by one based on your priorities.
Step 3: Once you have selected all the data that you want to back upup click on the big red button at the end of the page. Step 4: The backup process starts with creating an archive file for all your data. Creating an archive can take from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the size of the backup.up. Maybe it’s enough time to get a cup of coffee. Step 5: Once the backupup is done, go to the download tab and click the download buttonYou will be asked to reauthenticate your Google account. Once authentication is successful, your download will start automatically.
Note: Using a download accelerator to download the backupup downloading can cause problems. Use the default browser download to download the backupup store. Open the archive after the download is successful. You will be amazed at the data organized in folders making it a feast for users.
Pros and cons
All the data downloaded in the archive is in a portable and open format, thus exporting the data to other services is a very easy task. However, the service does not yet provide space to download data from Gmail.
My Verdict
Google Takeout is a great service to back upup to get all the valuable data from google servers. The service didn’t get the attention it deserved due to the parallel launch of Google Plus, but it certainly has potential and should be considered for use by all Google users. Google Takeout
