How to Utilize Virtual Desktops in Windows 11 – Guide
Windows 11 virtual desktops are great for multitasking that would flourish by mixing multiple desktops that run applications autonomously from each other. You can have a different background for each virtual desktop. It’s very simple: This will take you to the Customization > Background page, where you can choose an image for your background, a solid color, or organize a slideshow. You can then browse your photos to choose the image(s) to use and decide what type of adjustment you want for your image (for example, you can tile or stretch the image).
Give your desktop a name
Your desktops will automatically receive the boring titles of “Desktop 1,” “Desktop 2,” etc. You can change this easily by giving each desktop a name.
RESET YOUR DESKTOPS
You can change the order of the workspaces to make it easier to remember which one to use and when. This is also very simple.
USE THE SAME APP ON DIFFERENT DESKTOPS
If you’re already using an app on one desktop and you open it on another, you’re using a different version of that app – for example, you can use Chrome to see Twitter on one desktop and do job searches in other. (Be aware that some applications might not work that way yet – for example, when I tried to open Notion on a second desktop, my computer jumped to the desktop where it was already open.)
