With a working network connection, you can create and edit documents on the go, even with your smartphone. Most of us tend to work with different files and we keep trying out the new ones features to meet our requirements. However, while playing with this one features, we mess around up with the settings. Step 3: A bang-up window appears, click Restart Numbering.

Step 4: Enter the number from which you want to start the list.

You can also move your cursor to the beginning of the list item and right-click it. Then from the menu select Reset Numbering and set the number.

Reset formatting

There are two ways to reset the text formatting in Google Docs. One uses the Clear Format option and the other is the Paste Without Formatting option. The former will erase the font style, but it will not match the document style. Furthermore, no images and links are removed from the text. On the other hand, the second option will remove all links and images from the text and also match it with the font used in the document text. It removes all formatting and leaves you with simple text. To remove all formatting, select and copy the text, right-click and choose Paste Without Formatting from the menu.

To easily clear the formatting, select the text, click the Format option and choose Clear Format.

You can also click the Clear Format icon in the toolbar.
