When you are done entering the phone number, click send the code button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 7: You will receive a security code via SMS, as shown below. Enter that code in the next window and click Verify.
Step 8: If everything went according to plan, your account should now have two-step verification enabled. This is what happens when you try to log in to your account: After you enter your password, a code will be sent to your phone via SMS. Only after entering that code will you be able to access your account.
You probably have some computers that you use all the time, like work and home the ones. You can tell LinkedIn to recognize this device in the future. That way, you don’t have to go through the two-step process when using those computers.
